VFW Donations:
The Rockport VFW, Post 3904 is in the process of reconstructing their new facility on North Business 35; unfortunately, the previous location was destroyed by Hurricane Harvey in 2017. It’s been a long road for the select few that have taken on the task of re-establishing and re-building a new location. As a non-profit, and as a new build, the costs associated, and the funds are through donation from the community or by the National VFW Chapter. The obstacle the VFW and its members currently face is the removal of insulation that is between the I-Beams and the outer wall of the 2-story facility that need to be removed before the building can have spray foam insulation installed. This step gets the VFW one step closer to opening their doors so they can start to generate revenue and become self-sustaining. As this is a large task that cannot be completed by volunteers or the Veterans, the VFW has located an organization from Corpus Christi who is willing to do the work at a cost of $2500. All donations that can pay for the 3 days of labor-intensive work would be appreciated, please contact the church office for details on how to donate as the VFW has until the 21st of October to get this task completed.
