Parish Office Impacted by Coronavirus
Good afternoon, friends.
I am writing to make you aware that the Coronavirus has impacted our parish office and that we are limited in our ability to respond as quickly as we would like to your inquiries and needs.
Last Thursday morning, one of our staff members left the office not feeling well. The person’s symptoms were similar to some of those we hear about with COVID-19; headache, chills, and body aches. The person was tested on Friday. On Monday morning the test came back positive. In the meantime, two more began to show symptoms. Two other members of the live streaming team remain symptom-free. As of today, two of our staff have tested positive and two have tested negative. My symptoms continue and I will be tested as soon as possible.
It saddens me to share this news with you. The live-streaming worship we have been offering will be on hold until we are well. There are lots of great worship services out there. I encourage you to visit congregations you are familiar with or just explore some of the other church sites around the diocese and beyond.
Please keep us all in your prayers. Stay safe and well. We are a perfect example that even when you are intentional about sanitation and safety practices, there is still vulnerability to this virus.
Blessings and peace,
~ Fr. Jim Friedel
